Columbus School for Girls (CSG) is an independent day school in Columbus, Ohio, founded in 1898, serving diverse students in grades pre-k through 12. Having just completed a strategic plan to guide the school’s direction over the next several years, CSG offers an exceptional, student-centered academic experience with strong offerings in the arts, an impressive athletic program, and a health-and-wellness curriculum that is unique in central Ohio. This combination of academics and skills ensures that CSG students will be well prepared for life beyond CSG. Columbus School for Girls seeks to hire an energetic and creative full-time Middle School Mathematics Teacher to begin in the 2026-2027 academic year. Major Functions and Responsibilities: Teach a range of middle school mathematics classes for grades 6, 7, and 8, including pre-algebra, algebra, and geometry Lead an advisory group. Participate actively in the life of the school, including leading clubs and/or activities, chaperoning school trips (including an overnight trip), and possibly coaching Potential leadership responsibilities such as Advisory, Club or Affinity/Alliance Groups, and roles such as Form Level Dean, Department Chair, or Center Director. Ability to navigate a fast-paced environment, agility and the capacity to pivot as needed. Committed to improving their practice through peer observation and professional development. Possesses facility with academic technology, excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail. High emotional intelligence, strong cultural competence and a demonstrated belief in the value of a diverse and multicultural community. Experience Minimum of Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred. Ability to teach a scope of different levels (standard, advanced, honors). Strong candidates will have at least three years of experience teaching.
