Columbus School for Girls seeks to hire an energetic and creative full-time Choral Director/General Music Teacher to begin in the 2026-2027 academic year. Major Functions and Responsibilities:

• Direct the choirs at Middle and Upper School levels, including a middle school choir, an upper school choir, and the Grace Notes, CSG’s select upper school ensemble which also performs in a’capella competitions
• Teach several sections of Lower School general music classes (grades four and five), with the possibility of a middle school general music class (grades 6-8). 
• Collaborate regularly with the Arts Department and work in partnership with the music faculty to ensure a cohesive music curriculum. 
• Participate actively in the life of the school, including leading clubs and/or activities, chaperoning school trips, and possibly coaching. 

Experience

• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree required in vocal or choral music or similar field, Master’s degree preferred.
• Ability to teach a scope of different levels (Lower, Middle and Upper School).
• Piano proficiency; ability to play for rehearsals and classes
• Strong candidates will have experience with a’capella performance and competition 
• Strong candidates will have at least three years of experience teaching.
