Columbus Public Health is searching for someone to join our Public Affairs and Communications team.
Position Summary
This position will support the needs of the Health Commissioner, Health Commissioner's Office, and more than 45 Columbus Public Health programs as part of this team. this position will also provide media back-up and special project support to the Communications Director.
Responsibilities
- Support communication projects, including talking points, presentations, special events, video production, press releases, internal/external email promotions, etc. Also serve as the main backup and support to the Director of Public Affairs and Communications.
- Serve as the editorial lead for the Materials Review Process, including general editing across multiple communication channels to ensure accuracy, health literacy, consistency and brand messaging.
- Conduct work on multi-media public awareness and education campaigns, including concept, copywriting, social media ads, radio ads, PSAs and agency oversight.
Education & Experience
Possession of a bachelor's degree and three (3) years of professional experience in media, journalism, marketing, or public relations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.91 - $49.36 per hour
