Position Overview

Columbus Facility Cleaning is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner / Janitor for a Verizon location in Lima, Ohio.

This is a consistent part-time cleaning position requiring 2 hours of cleaning per shift, 3 days per week.

• Start time: Anytime after 7:30 PM
• 2 hours per shift

The cleaning service will be performed after business hours. The exact start time can be flexible as long as the service begins after 7:30 PM and all assigned duties are completed within the required service window.

The anticipated start date is October 15, 2026, and may be subject to change based on the client's final schedule.

Cleaning Responsibilities

• Perform professional commercial cleaning and janitorial services.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, countertops, mirrors, and floors.
• Restock toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and other restroom supplies.
• Sweep, dust mop, mop, and vacuum assigned floor areas.
• Clean entryways, doors, glass surfaces, and other designated areas.
• Empty trash receptacles and properly dispose of waste.
• Clean and maintain break rooms and common areas as assigned.
• Wipe down and disinfect high-touch surfaces, counters, fixtures, and frequently used areas.
• Maintain clean and presentable customer and employee areas.
• Follow the facility cleaning checklist and company procedures.
• Safely handle cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment.
• Inspect completed areas before leaving to ensure all assigned duties have been completed.
• Report maintenance concerns, leaks, damage, spills, safety hazards, or other facility issues promptly.
• Use the company mobile application for GPS-verified clock-ins, clock-outs, and shift reporting.

Note: Floor buffing is not required for this position.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be available consistently Monday, Thursday, and Saturday.
• Must be available to begin the shift anytime after 7:30 PM.
• Must be able to consistently complete a 2-hour cleaning shift.
• Previous commercial cleaning, janitorial, housekeeping, or facility maintenance experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting procedures.
• Experience cleaning restrooms, floors, glass surfaces, entryways, break rooms, and common areas.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to professional cleaning standards.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and responsible.
• Must be willing to commit to the assigned schedule for the long term.
• Reliable transportation to and from the work location.
• Must own a smartphone and be comfortable using mobile applications for GPS-verified timekeeping and shift reporting.
• Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and janitorial equipment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, and lift cleaning supplies or equipment as required.

Reliability & Accountability

We are looking for someone who takes their work seriously and can be trusted to maintain the location consistently.

The successful candidate must:

• Show up on time for every scheduled shift.
• Complete all assigned cleaning duties.
• Take ownership of the condition of the facility.
• Communicate promptly with management if an emergency affects their ability to work.
• Follow company and client-specific cleaning instructions.
• Maintain professional communication and conduct.
• Commit to the recurring Monday, Thursday, and Saturday schedule.

Frequent no-shows, repeated lateness, leaving work unfinished, or abandoning the assignment will not meet our expectations.
