Part-Time Patient Care Coordinator

We are looking for a Part-Time Patient Care Coordinator to join our growing practice.

About the Role

This position plays a key role in creating an exceptional patient experience while supporting front office operations, surgery scheduling, and administrative functions.

The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a high level of professionalism and takes pride in delivering outstanding patient service.

Key Responsibilities

Front Desk & Patient Support

• Answer incoming phone calls
• Schedule appointments and procedures
• Check patients in and out
• Collect patient payments
• Respond to new patient inquiries and leads
• Monitor patient flow throughout the day

Surgery & Insurance Coordination

• Verify insurance benefits
• Obtain prior authorizations
• Prepare and communicate procedure cost estimates
• Coordinate surgery scheduling
• Assist with general medical scheduling

Administrative Support

• Scan and file documents
• Process records requests
• Handle faxing and general office correspondence
• Maintain organized workspaces and common areas

Patient Experience & Marketing Support

• Request patient reviews and testimonials
• Send appointment reminders and follow-up communications
• Assist with promotions, specials, and marketing initiatives
• Support efforts to enhance the overall patient experience

Qualifications

• Previous medical office, healthcare, customer service, or administrative experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Comfortable using computers, scheduling systems, and office software
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
