What are the responsibilities and job description for the SHELF SET COORDINATOR position at COLUMBUS DISTRIBUTING COMPANY?
Columbus Distributing Company is a family-owned sales and service corporation distributing Anheuser-Busch, Yuengling, craft, and imported beers in Franklin County.
- Call on independent and chain accounts to gather the necessary information needed to build reset proposals. Be prepared to “Build on the fly” a Planogram with the decision point at these accounts so adjustments can be made on-site.
- Upload sales data from the account into the planogram to better allocate space in the Planogram proposal.
- Run internal (iDig) sales reports and upload the data to planograms to guide merchandising.
- Attend and assist in the preparation and implementation of store sets.
- Assemble Planogram information and data for presentations to retailers and suppliers
- Maintain accurate planograms in the current files
- Coordinate with sales reps and team leaders regarding reset opportunity accounts.
- Build planogram proposals to benefit the account and CDC
- Sell the planogram proposal to the account owner and secure a reset date & time
- Communicate reset schedules to the affected Account Manager and Team Leader.
- Communicate reset schedule to the competition per Ohio law
- Print the planogram proposal for the reset
- Gather any required supplies and/or equipment needed to execute the reset (glides, price tags, shelves, hardware, tools).
- Be aware of Ohio laws dealing with resets and reset communications.
- Attend and lead resets in the account on the day of the reset.
- Be prepared and knowledgeable to make changes to the planogram during the reset.
- Communicate with the retail account owner/manager any adjustments to the planogram made during the reset execution.
- Be sure to update any changes made on the day of the reset to our master file to maintain accurate information.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license.
- Maintain an acceptable driving record and maintain auto insurance coverage of at least the minimum required by state law and company guidance
- Able to lift 30 lbs. from overhead to floor and lift kegs (up to 170 lbs.)
- Previous beverage industry sales experience is preferred but not required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experienced with Microsoft Office and operating an iPad.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and days, including weekends and holidays as business dictates.
