POSITION: Nutritionist III - WIC Supervisor

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Columbus County Health Department is seeking a Nutritionist III who will be the WIC Supervisor. This individual will provide direct education to patients in WIC, Family Planning, Adult Health and Child Health. The primary purpose of this position is to supervise the operation of the WIC program management and direction of the CCHD WIC program and staff, while ensuring compliance with all federal and state, rules and regulations within that program. Providing medical nutrition therapy and consultation to other units within the Health Department. Providing community outreach and education as appropriate, and participating in CCHD programs and activities as needed
REQUIREMENTS:Status as a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist.
Considerable knowledge of the WIC Program. Ability to maintain records, inventories and computer skills.
Minimum Education And Experience
Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education with a Masters degree in Dietetics, Public Health Nutrition or Nutrition from an accredited college or university and one year experience; or Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education and two years nutrition experience.
