This position is responsible for reporting staff payroll; supervising employees; making hiring recommendations; conducts performance appraisals; arranges employees' work schedules.
Bachelor's Degree in Parks and Recreation, Leisure Management, or related field is required. Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions and to be able to answer questions and resolve problems, usually associated with two years of experience or service. Lifeguard Certification is recommended. Certified Pool/Spa Operator (CPO), First Aid, CPR, and AED for adults, children, and infants are required. Valid driver's license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment required.

- Supervises employees and inmates and makes hiring recommendations.
- Performs repairs on and maintains pools and pool equipment.
- Manages supplies for the chemicals in the pool.
- Performs maintenance and minor work on the facility.
- Responsible for facility and equipment and maintaining the pool, pump room, mechanical room, and chemical room.
- Keeps up with chemicals, water tests, and all aspects of maintenance for the facility.
- Responsible for ensuring the facility is cleaned properly and well maintained.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, electrical construction, and preventive Maintenance.
- Knowledge of aquatic filtration systems, pool chemicals, and equipment.Knowledge of department policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and accident prevention.
- Skill in organizing and prioritizing work orders.

- Skill in operating standard office equipment including work-related computer applications.
