The Library Media Specialist (LMS) for the Columbus City Schools shall ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas, information, and technology. This mission is accomplished by providing staff and students with intellectual and physical access to information and ideas in print, non-print media and technology for a community with diverse interests and needs.
The Library Media Specialist works cooperatively with other educators to design learning strategies to meet the needs of individuals. To accomplish this, the Library Media Specialist functions as part of the curriculum implementation process as an informational specialist, a teacher, an instructional consultant, professional development presenter and library technology specialist.
Travel to multiple schools is involved.
