What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2019-2020 Physical Therapist position at Columbus City Schools?
The Physical Therapist develops, implements and coordinates a physical therapy program that includes screening, evaluation and intervention services. The Physical Therapist is a member of the interdisciplinary education team that works toward the development of skills needed for the occupation of being a student and helps prepare the student to participate in work, play, and independent living activities. They develop and implement therapeutic activities which support therapy goals and objectives. The Educational Support – Physical Therapist is mandated as a related service under Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA) - Federal Laws 101-457.
Candidate required to hold a valid Ohio Physical Therapy license. Ohio Department of Education Professional License is also required, and may be obtained during the hiring process. Minority candidates are encouraged to apply.
