Candidates should be well versed in using instructional strategies that promote the new Common Core state standards for science practices.  Also process the ability to plan and implement all areas of science, including physical, earth, and life, based on state standards.  Candidates must have the capacity to create engaging lessons that develop student critical thinking and problem solving skills.  Candidates must be willing to be active participants in collaboration efforts via the Ohio Improvement Process (OIP) / Professional Learning Communities and be prepared to support building wide literacy initiative.
