Position Overview
Provides quality standards-based instruction in the area of Manufacturing; assesses and encourages student progress, manages an effective learning environment to maximize student achievement and follows the Perkins Assurances of a CTE quality program.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
- Facilitates/coordinates a rigorous Manufacturing curriculum with career-related instruction; assesses and provides for differentiation to assure student progress while managing the learning environment.
- Complies with state and system level regulations and policies; including the rules of the Professional Standards Commission Code of Ethics for Educators.
- Provides opportunities for students to earn industry credentials within the Manufacturing Career Field that lead to high wage, in-demand careers
- Participates and integrates CTSO framework into curriculum
- Manages and maintains program’s assigned equipment, software, and supplies.
- Participates in CTE Advisory Boards to share resources and to ensure the curriculum and work-based learning experiences are aligned to professional standards
- Supports all building wide initiatives.
- Educational Level: Educational Level: Refer to the requirements from Ohio Department of Education Certification/License Required:
- Valid Ohio CTE Teaching Certificate
- Physical Activities: Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities
- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Written and oral communication. The Board of Education and the Superintendent may accept alternatives to some of the above requirements.
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain collegial, cooperative relations with students, parents, teachers, counselors, building and central office administrators and other personnel, as well as community, business and other partners
Strong written and oral communication skills and excellent technological skills
Availability to facilitate, present and/or attend school, district and community events
Proven indication of being a highly flexible and adaptable staff member; adept at multitasking an thriving in a fast-paced environment while coordinating numerous time-sensitive projects
