Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Automotive Refinish Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for expertly restoring vehicle surfaces through sanding, painting, coating, and finishing techniques. Your expertise will help ensure each vehicle leaves our shop looking flawless, while providing outstanding service to our customers.
Duties
- Prepare vehicle surfaces through sanding, masking, and surface cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply primers, paints, coatings, and clear coats using conventional spray guns and airless paint sprayers with precision and consistency
- Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, panel alignment, and welding as needed for surface restoration
- Use power tools such as grinders and sanders to smooth surfaces before painting or buffing
- Conduct automotive buffing and polishing to achieve a high-gloss finish that meets quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols including respiratory protection measures
- Assist with auto restoration projects and auto glass replacement when required
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or auto body shop experience in automotive refinishing or related fields
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, grinders, sanders, and spray guns
- Skilled in surface preparation, masking, sanding, and automotive buffing techniques
- Knowledge of automotive paints, coatings, and surface preparation processes
- Experience with auto restoration, auto painting, detailing, and auto body repair preferred
- Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with welding techniques and vehicle maintenance procedures is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Physical ability for heavy lifting and working in various positions for extended periods
