Overview
We are seeking motivated Apprentice Carpenters to join our team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in various aspects of carpentry and construction, providing a solid foundation for a career in the woodworking industry. The role involves working under the supervision of experienced carpenters on diverse commercial sites. Candidates should be eager to learn, reliable, and physically capable of handling demanding tasks on active job sites.
About the Program
- What you’ll do: Receive hands on training in safety, building technology, hand and power tools, reading blueprints, and construction safety in a classroom setting. Hone your skills on job sites throughout the DC Metro area and in our 70,000 sq ft. manufacturing plant, where you will also learn to operate woodworking machinery, build, and finish custom millwork pieces.
What you’ll earn:
- Paid training: Earn as you learn on the job. Starting pay is /hour with an increase every 6 months.
- Paid classroom training: All required courses and materials are covered.
- Industry recognized credentials: Gain certificates in specialized training, First Aid/CPR certificate, and OSHA construction safety.

Requirements
- Age: 18 years old or older, due to the nature of the work.
- Transportation: Adequate transportation to and from job sites and training facilities.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalency is required.
- Fitness: Physically able to perform the duties of the occupation.
- Hours of Work: To meet the required on-the-job training, you must be available to work full-time Monday through Friday starting at 5 am. Your on-the-job training will not interfere with attendance in related instruction classes.
