Columbia Vehicle Group is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Strategic Buyer to support purchasing and supply chain operations at our Aiken, SC manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for sourcing materials, managing supplier relationships, issuing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of components needed to support production schedules and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities
- Source and purchase materials, components, and supplies to support manufacturing operations
- Review production schedules and inventory levels to determine purchasing needs
- Create and manage purchase orders while ensuring accurate pricing and delivery timelines
- Communicate with suppliers regarding lead times, shortages, delivery updates, and quality concerns
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and costsaving opportunities with vendors
- Monitor inventory levels to minimize shortages and excess inventory
- Collaborate with Production, Warehouse, Engineering, and accounting teams to support operational needs
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier documentation
- Evaluate supplier performance related to quality, cost, and delivery
- Assist with inventory control initiatives and continuous improvement projects
- Support resolution of receiving discrepancies, invoice issues, and material shortages
- Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures
- Minimum of 2 years of purchasing, procurement, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment is a plus
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with ERP or inventory management systems preferred
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problemsolving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
