CAD Designer

Position Overview:

To develop engineered solutions using an AUTOCAD 2016 system from concept through 3-D design and 2-D detailing of tooling for the manufacturing sector in the cabinetry and locker industries.

Will be able to provide detailed shop drawings for custom lockers and cabinetry for a manufacturing company located in South Carolina. Must be highly proficient in AutoCAD 2016 2D and 3D and Microsoft office, ability to work independently and within a team environment. Responsibilities will also include providing detailed drawings for CNC Routing programs for the manufacturing of Lockers.

Should be competent and a self-starter able to work independently. Possesses natural leadership strengths with strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective development of sound teamwork relationships. Creative professional with a proven record of accomplishment for delivering measurable results and managing change. Skilled at analyzing requirements, developing innovative solutions, and motivating a team to successfully complete projects. A proven record of gaining the confidence and cooperation of project teams due to communication strengths and strong work ethic.

Major Responsibilities:

• Produce AutoCAD 3D and 2D drawings for manufacturing of Lockers and Cabinetry
• Produce drawings for CNC Routing programs for the manufacturing of Lockers and Cabinetry.
• Modify AutoCAD drawings and suggest solutions for new designs.
• Help Facilitate the approval process with customers, CNC Programmers and Production.
• Review Manufacturing process to ensure accuracy.
• Help Design and develop new product lines.

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2016 3D and 2D drafting with a minimum of 4 years' experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft office, especially in Excel.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers and production staff.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and complete within required deadlines.
• Self-starter who is highly motivated, flexible and able to multi-task.
• Works well in a cross functional team environment.
• Able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines on multiple projects simultaneously.
• SolidWorks 2017 or later is a bonus.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
