NAC (CNA) Instructor Minimum Qualifications:
-Current WA State License LPN, or RN (required)
-Customer Service Experience (required)
-Teaching Experience (preferred)
Position Description:
Oversees all administrative and educational aspects of the Certified Nursing programs and other applicable continuing education healthcare programming such as Medication Aid, Personal Care Assistant, etc...
Provides classroom and practical skills training to enrolled NAC students.
Prepares for each learning experience - prepares, maintains lesson plans; prepares methods to evaluate student performance; prepares laboratory to provide demonstrations and hands-on experience as appropriate.
Meets classes/labs at scheduled times.
Evaluates student performance in laboratory when applicable.
Serves as academic advisor and counselor
Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum and/or courses.
Maintains accurate records of student attendance and performance
Assists with and carries out, as required, the implementation of policies and procedures related to the instructional area.
Communicates clearly, concisely, and in a caring manner with students.
Demonstrates competence regarding the handling of hazardous substances, trains students in the safe handling of hazardous substances or equipment, where applicable.
Selects, recommends, and maintains a variety of laboratory equipment, tools, and supplies where applicable.
Maintains classroom/laboratory area to include overall cleanliness and conformance to OSHA requirements where applicable.
Assist with maintaining inventory of equipment and supplies.
Interacts with colleagues and students in a professional manner.
Performs back-up instructional activities for other instructors as appropriate.
Participates in recruitment of students and/or promotion of programs as appropriate for the teaching area.
Participates in a variety of student related administrative activities including, program evaluation, and student progress.
