Job Summary


Working independently and collaboratively with others, this position plays an integral role in executing CRPUD's mission, philosophy, and commitment to providing safe, reliable power to our community and exceptional service to our internal and external customers. All employees are also expected to maintain a high level of trust, integrity, and ethical standards.

Provide technical support for the design, construction, and maintenance of electrical distribution systems and facilities. Work closely with customers, agencies, and Operations staff to process service requests and assist in developing electrical system designs. Support the development and review of engineering standards and materials, and maintain accurate records, drawings, and documentation of transmission, distribution, and substation systems.

The duties of the Electrical Engineer I are entry-level and are intended to develop engineering skills and judgement in order to grow within the PUD to the System Engineer position.

Most of the duties of the Electrical Engineer II will be performed on their own under the supervision of the manager and are intended to develop engineering skills and judgement in order to grow within the PUD to the System Engineer position.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program; or any combination of education, training, and on-the-job experience that provides an equivalent level of knowledge, skills, and training required to perform the job duties of this position effectively.
  • Valid driver's license. Other driving-related requirements may apply depending on the nature and scope of responsibilities associated with driving on behalf of CRPUD.

Salary Range


Electrical Engineer I: $ $58.64 per hour depending on qualifications

Electrical Engineer II: $ $65.92 per hour depending on qualifications
