Starting Pay Range -
Therapist I Masters (in Clinical Counseling / Social Work)- $27.04- $31.16
Therapist II (Licensed LMHCA / LICSWA / LMFTA - $28.13 - $32.11
Therapist III (Licensed LMHC / LICSW / LMFT) - $32.99 - $35.66
Position Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our clinical care team. This role specializes in providing therapeutic services to individuals affected by sexual trauma and domestic violence. The ideal candidate will bring clinical expertise in trauma recovery, a deep understanding of trauma-informed care, and a strong commitment to empowering survivors on their healing journey.
This position includes a unique partnership with the Clark County YWCA, with approximately 50% of the therapist’s time dedicated to treating clients referred through that program. The role offers a hybrid schedule, combining onsite work with remote (work-from-home) flexibility to best serve clients and support clinician wellness.
Essential Job Functions:
- Use evidence-based, trauma-informed therapeutic modalities including but not limited to ACT, TF-CBT, CPT and/or EMDR to establish therapeutic rapport and facilitate active engagement in treatment.
- Provide individual, group and (if applicable) family therapy to clients affected by sexual trauma and/or domestic violence.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and regularly monitor progress to determine ongoing medical necessity.
- Participate in case consultation, clinical supervision, and continuing education related to trauma and abuse.
- Provide case management services, as appropriate
- Provide crisis intervention and safety planning as needed.
- Coordinate care with relevant internal and external providers and informal supports.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with agency, ethical and legal standards.
- Maintain an acceptable number of client contact hours per month.
- Possess knowledge of client rights and ensure an atmosphere that allows for consumer privacy, dignity, and well-being in a safe and secure environment.
- Perform all job responsibilities in accordance with prescribed safety and infection control procedures.
- Engage in training required by the YWCA in order to provide appropriate, trauma-informed services to survivors.
Non-essential Job Functions:
- Supports agency mission, goals, and objectives.
- Attend staff and planning meetings as scheduled.
- Maintain communication and cooperative working relationships both within the agency and community at large, while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education, Licensing and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field required.
- Washington Department of Health Certification as a Licensed Agency Affiliated Counselor or able to meet the criteria for such certification; or WA licensure in Social Work, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferable with survivors of trauma, sexual abuse, or intimate partner violence.
- Deep understanding of trauma-informed care, cultural humility, and the impact of intersectionality.
- Training in trauma-specific modalities (e.g., EMDR, TF-CBT, ACT, CPT) highly preferred.
- Strong communication, empathy, and active listening skills.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including LGBTQ individuals, BIPOC communities, and clients with co-occurring disorders.
