Commodity and Waste Equipment Operator
● Operate tractors, loaders, trucks and others equipment to deliver commodities to various locations at the dairy.
● Operate tractors, wagons, loaders and others equipment to load and move waste from one location to another.
● Operate and perform routine daily maintenance on commodity and waste tractors, loaders, wagons, trucks and others equipment used at the dairy. Ensure equipment is in good working condition and adhere to all applicable safety rules.
● Assist mechanics to monitor, perform routine maintenance and repairs as needed; Agitators, Screens, Pumps, Flush system, Grease, check hydraulic fluids daily and other Dairy equipment, follow all applicable safety procedures.
● Drive vehicles to haul workers, supplies, parts and tools.
Workers may drive a Pickup or van that seat 14 or less passengers. Employees that want to be drivers must possess a valid driver’s license. The driver’s license is not a pre-hire job requirement. They will drive workers from living quarters to work sites throughout the day, and vice versa, and provide one weekly trip to workers to purchase groceries (transportation is provided for workers who must be provided with housing under the applicable regulation). There are no set schedules or designated drivers for the vehicles. The Employer attests that all workers will be properly trained in the Worker Protections Standard (WPS) by qualified WPS trainers who have completed an EPA-approved Train-the-Trainer course pursuant to the Oregon Department of Agriculture
