Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Floral Assistant & customer service to join our team. This hands-on role is essential in supporting daily floral operations and ensuring a welcoming and organized store environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail setting. Responsibilities include cleaning, flower care, deliveries, store organization, and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Assist with prepping and cleaning flowers, including processing new inventory and maintaining floral freshness throughout the day.
- Help with in-store floral arrangements and assist designers with preparation and cleanup.
- Making sure the floor and fridge are always clean and organized.
- Make local deliveries using public transportation or walking routes, ensuring timely and courteous service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, workstations, and back-of-house areas.
- Provide warm and helpful customer service both in person and over the phone.
- Operate POS system and handle sales transactions accurately when needed.
- Assist in merchandising and restocking product displays to keep the store looking fresh and inviting.
- Support the team with opening and closing duties, and be ready to jump in where needed.
- Support team with customer services both in store and phone calls.
Skills & Requirements
- Strong organizational skills and attention to cleanliness and detail.
- Comfortable navigating the city on foot and via public transportation for deliveries.
- Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
- Experience in floral work or retail preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods.
- Proficient in English
- Punctual, dependable, and enthusiastic about flowers and customer service.
