Inventory Clerk

JOB SUMMARY

The Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring optimal stock levels within the warehouse. This role involves tracking incoming and outgoing shipments and performing regular inventory audits.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor and maintain accurate records of all warehouse inventory.
• Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile with the warehouse management system (WMS).
• Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments.
• Ensure outgoing shipments are properly documented and picked up according to orders.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies or issues.
• Generate inventory reports and provide data to management as needed.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks (if certified).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Assist with cycle counts, audits, and stock rotation to minimize loss and obsolescence.
• Communicate with procurement, shipping, and operations teams to coordinate inventory activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Highschool Diploma or GED
• Ability to pass TSA/Security Background check.
• Current South Carolina Driver License.
• 1 year of warehouse inventory management.

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be physically able to operate a variety of equipment and machinery including various trucks, heavy equipment, hand, and power tools, etc. Must have the ability to exert more than fifty pounds of force occasionally and up to twenty pounds frequently. Must lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to one hundred pounds. Physical demands are more than sedentary work and require the ability to walk, stand for periods, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, balance, push, pull and reach. Frequent work or travel in or near roadways, parking areas, aircraft ramp areas, requires constant vigilance of vehicular, aircraft and equipment traffic.
