The Administrative Assistant for Lower Columbia Hospice & Palliative Care provides comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the office while managing all aspects of incoming referrals. This role ensures accurate and timely collection of documentation to maintain regulatory compliance, including insurance verification, prior authorizations, and required record management. The Administrative Assistant collaborates with the team and supports additional projects and initiatives as needed to promote efficient operations and high-quality patient care.
Job Requirements
Knowledge Of/Skill/Ability To
Associate’s degree preferred. Minimal three years’ Administrative Assistant experience is preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance
Position involves standing, walking, stooping, and occasional carrying and lifting of lightweight materials (up to 20 pounds). May be required to sit for extended periods of time. Requires visual acuity and depth perception to recognize words and numbers; and hand and finger dexterity and hand/eye coordination to use a computer keyboard and common office equipment.

- Notary public commissioned by the State of Oregon required within six (6) months of hire.
- A valid driver’s license must be submitted to and maintained by the department manager, as this position may require travel to patient homes for notary services.
