Duties:

• Adheres to standard safety practices and job, department and Columbia Memorial Hospital policies and procedures related to safety.
• Participates in training and development activities in accordance with Columbia Memorial Hospital policies and practices.
• Displays good guest relations and positive attitude toward all Hospital visitors, patients and vendors, etc.
• Demonstrates competence and proficiency with MRI and support equipment.
• Explains the procedure to the patient or parent/guardian to facilitate cooperation and alleviate patient anxiety.
• Perform and document all quality control testing according to ACR standards and as defined in quality assurance schedule developed for MRI department.
• Employ safety procedures and recommendations as set for by the ACR to ensure the safety of patients in the MRI suite, as well as well as visitors and support staff
• Always obtains and examines the requisition in order to be aware of information such as procedure requested, patient's condition and any other special notes or comments. Always obtains history and enters information on the requisition.
• Rotates as needed on all shifts as requested and performs the duties of that shift; regularly responds to an "on-call" basis as the need arises, as evidenced by the time card.
• Must be able to work in X-ray, or other modalities trained and qualified for as needed and determined by Manager
• Consistently demonstrates the ability to assess a situation from a variety of perspectives, considers alternatives and selects the appropriate course of action, as evidenced by supervisory observation.
• Always presents the department in a positive manner to patients, families, significant others and hospital personnel, 100% of the time as evidenced by supervisory observation.
• Utilizes support personnel effectively so as to concentrate on patient care responsibility as evidenced by supervisory observation.
• Demonstrates a good working knowledge of the Medi-Tech, HIS/RIS and PACS.
