Summary: As an industrial painter, your responsibilities and duties may include preparing the surface to bind to the paint you will apply, applying paint in the desired color and amount, often using specialized spraying equipment, ensuring the quality of the job is up to company standards and cleaning up your work area and equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Intermediate part prep knowledge
- Intermediate preventative maintenance on paint equipment
- Manages blast booth loading, while keeping paperwork organized
- Intermediate non-critical decision making
- Intermediate knowledge of routers, instructions from print, correct time reporting and logs
- Intermediate knowledge of mixing paint, cleaning equipment and Manometers
- Able to apply enamel paints correctly with little to no rework required
- Able to assist with down stacking or order auditing
- Able to correctly replace filters in all booths
- Ability to use Pressure Pots
- Knowledge of D Cups
- Experience with Airless Assist
- Experience utilizing Conventional HVLP & Airless Assist

Knowledge, skills, and/or abilities:
- Intermediate knowledge of all shop tools
- Safely operates overhead and jib crane
- Intermediate non-critical decision making
- Pass Respirator Fit Test per company policy
- Ability to foster and work within a team environment
- Able to work on multiple projects at one time
- Willingness to work overtime when needed
- Good reading, writing, and oral communication skills
- Displays attention to detail and consistently follows Standard Work Instructions (when available) when completing tasks
- Demonstrates the qualities of a "Team Player" by accepting new responsibilities and filling in for other employees when needed
- Ability to respectfully mentor fellow employees
- Actively participates in safety programs and complies with all Columbia safety policies
- Communicates well with peers, supervisors, customers, vendors, and other departments
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or GED
1-3 years in a paint area or related field desired
