We are seeking a motivated and team-oriented accounting associate to join our team in Starkville, Mississippi.
This role supports day-to-day accounting and operational activities including accounts receivable, cash flow reporting, account reconciliations, month-end close assistance, journal entries, and will provide some administrative support for human resources as needed.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of core accounting principles, along with strong Excel skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. They will also be dependable, adaptable, operationally minded, eager to learn, and willing to pitch in wherever needed to support the business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform accounts receivable duties and customer payment tracking
- Assist with daily and weekly cash flow reporting
- Perform reconciliations and routine accounting support tasks
- Assist with reporting, spreadsheet preparation, and data analysis
- Support operational and administrative needs across departments as needed
- Work collaboratively with operations, HR, supply chain, and leadership teams
Qualifications
- Degree in accounting, finance, or business; current undergraduate or graduate students nearing graduation may also be considered
- Strong Excel skills required
- Understanding of core accounting concepts and GAAP required, including reconciliations, journal entries, and basics of financial reporting
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment

Work Environment
- Hybrid environment. Candidate must be willing to work from the office located within a manufacturing plant environment at least 3 days per week.

- Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in production areas, including hard hat, safety glasses, and steel-toed shoes
