What you’ll do:
The Brass Tacks
- Operationally lead all F&B culinary programs in the following areas: menu development, culinary team training & staff development, vendor management, strategic planning, BOH budgeting and forecasting, BOH operational procedures, profitable performance
- Work with General Manager on the development and execution on new store operations as directed by ownership which may include: conceptual design, site design, site build-out, menu development, procurement of product, order and inventory, hiring, onboarding, training of staff, development of SOPs and other operational systems, and all other points of new-store openings not listed
- Translate organizational vision, values and culture into targeted team and/or individual goals that will drive performance, and take action to get results with an appropriate sense of urgency
- Lead menu design and acquisition of product and support improvements where necessary
- Offer operational support for managers and supervisors at applicable entities to ensure they meet their goals
- Oversee the implementation of Semiahmoo initiatives to ensure proper introduction and execution
- Work with entity culinary teams and operational managers to streamline communications and standardization and to minimize expenses
- Represent ownership in a professional and appropriate manner when managing vendors and contractors
- Ensure all F&B Culinary departments are compliant with Semiahmoo programs, menus, approved product lists, beverage control program, and city/county/state requirements
- Seek efficiencies and coordination of operations between F&B entities when appropriate
- Comply with all policies and professional expectations
- Perform other work-related duties and projects as assignments
- Strong verbal and written communication skill
- Strong attention to detail, planning, organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent customer skills, guest-oriented and service-minded
- Ability to travel from location to location
- Ability to keep current with food and beverage trends and best practices
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in hotel, food and beverage or hospitality management or related field
- At least 5 years of progressive experience and responsibility in a senior food and beverage position or an equivalent combination of training, education, budgeting, cost control and experience
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
- Fine motor coordination is needed to fulfill plating and general food preparation tasks
- Lifting items weighing over 20 lbs; Push/pull force of minimum 12 lbs.
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
- Working conditions are general office environment, kitchen and construction areas, with travel as needed
