Overview:
The [Boys/Girls/JV Boys] Basketball Coach is responsible for planning, organizing, and leading practices and games to help student-athletes develop skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive attitude. Coach basketball skills, team offense and defense, and game strategies with an emphasis on teamwork and sportsmanship.
Responsibilities:

Plan and conduct regular practices.

Teach fundamental basketball skills, strategies, and rules.

Promote teamwork, respect, and good sportsmanship.

Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and travel.

Communicate with athletic director, school administration, players, and families.

Ensure player safety through proper instruction and monitoring.

Manage equipment and uniforms as assigned.

Follow all school district and athletics program policies and guidelines.
Qualifications:

Prior experience playing or coaching basketball preferred.
