Closing Duties
- Laundry duties to prepare for the next day.
- Sweeping and mopping the exam room and front reception area
- Set up the conference room for the next day of vet services.
- Sweet and mop the conference room
- Cats get closed down and tidied up for the night, verifying all have dry kibble and water overnight
- All dogs should be checked for cleanliness
- All dogs should have water overnight.
- Night feeding depends on the animal
- Surgical animals have a post-op surgery sheet to fill out.
- Night medications to be distributed
- Garbage should be taken out and bag replaced.
- Housebroken or crate dogs all get walked
- Extra tasks given on a day to day basis
- All doors must be full shut and locked
- Set the alarm as you exit the building.
Skills
- Kennel experience with a strong understanding of animal husbandry practices (not required, but preferred).
- Knowledge of animal physiology, anatomy, and basic pet care principles to support overall well-being.
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
