Summary
We are seeking a Circulating Nurse (RN) to support our surgical team by ensuring optimal patient care and maintaining a sterile and safe operating environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in perioperative nursing and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical procedures.
- Document all nursing activities accurately in patient records.
- Ensure all necessary supplies, instruments, and equipment are available and functioning properly.
- Assist the surgical team by maintaining a sterile field and adhering to infection control protocols.
- Monitor and document patient status intraoperatively.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical techs to ensure smooth case flow.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility policies.
Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oregon.
- Experience in an operating room setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and acute care nursing practices.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems is a plus.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
