Shunt Driver

• Overview

we are Seeking a reliable and skilled Shunt Driver to Join our team. In this dual role, you will operate a daycab tandem tractor to move vans from door to door within our yard, Additionally, when there are no vans to move, you will assist with various task in the warehouse, including operating a lift truck

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a daycab tandem tractor to transport vans within the yard.
• Move vans between designated loading and unloading areas as needed.
• Ensure proper placement of vans and maintain an organized yard layout.
• Conduct routine inspections of the daycab tandem tractor to ensure it is safe working condition.
• When not moving vans, operate a lift truck to assist with warehouse tasks, including loading and unloading materials.
• Perform general warehouse duties as assigned ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
• Collaborate with team members ti optimize van movement and warehouse operations.

Skills

• Valid drivers licence with a clean diving record.
• Valid CDL A Certification.
• Experience operating a daycab tandem tractor and a lift truck preferred.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing task throughout the workday

Pay: $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
