This position conducts various cleaning tasks throughout production areas to aid in proper equipment performance.
Duties And Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities of a Maintenance Cleaner include:
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required additional technical and boiler schooling is preferred. Requires the ability to read, write and use basic and advanced arithmetic. On the job training is provided and this position requires approximately 3 to 6 months to become proficient.
KNOWLEDGE OF: Knowledgeable of various hand and electric tools to complete cleaning procedures. Experience and ability to operate mobile equipment.
SKILLS REQUIRED: Ability to read, understand, and follow standard operating/work order instructions.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate with others at all levels in both oral and written methods.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Individual should effectively communicate with the coworkers and perform their job in a safe manner.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions extreme cold, extreme heat, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. This position may require work from heights or uneven surfaces, and a wide array of personal protections is required: Safety glasses, earplugs, gloves, steal toes, fire retardant clothing, bump caps/hard hats and other forms dependent upon job duties and location.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, reach, push/pull, lift, and carry; use hands to handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Works every Saturday and Sunday: 6:00am- 6:00pm and every Monday 6:00am-1:30pm
- 30 HOURS/WEEK, FULL BENEFITS

Specific responsibilities of a Maintenance Cleaner include:
- The ability to use various hand tools such as brooms, rakes, and powered tools such as vacuums and air wands to perform cleaning tasks.
- Knowledgeable in forklift and bobcat operation.
- Able to adjust to various working conditions and spaces.
- Ability to be self-motivated and task oriented.
- Ability to efficiently complete task list as provided by the maintenance supervisor.
- Ability to follow standard work.
- Ability to communicate with maintenance crew leader and millwrights.
- Maintain your basic tool supply that is provided as well as coveralls and other PPE or company provided items.
- Determining proper safety procedures (LOTO, JSA, REACH) needed to safely and efficiently complete tasks.
