Parts & Yard Coordinator
We are looking for a dependable, self-motivated Parts & Yard Coordinator to join our equipment business. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in staying organized, keeping things running smoothly, and seeing what needs to be done without having to be constantly directed.
This position will be responsible for managing our parts inventory and shipping operations while also helping maintain our equipment, warehouse, and yard.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain parts inventory and storage areas
- Keep accurate counts of parts on hand and notify management when inventory is getting low
- Receive incoming parts, equipment, and freight and put inventory in the proper location
- Pull parts from packing slips and prepare customer orders for shipment
- Package and label UPS/FedEx shipments
- Properly package, palletize, strap/band, and secure heavier freight for LTL shipment
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts and telehandlers
- Maintain an organized warehouse, parts area, and outdoor equipment yard
- Keep equipment and inventory stored in designated locations
- Perform basic inspections and routine maintenance on company forklifts, telehandlers, and other equipment
- Identify maintenance or repair issues before they become larger problems
- Assist with receiving, moving, staging, and preparing equipment for shipment
- Keep the yard clean, presentable, and safe
- Handle general shop and facility tasks as needed
We need someone who is organized, dependable, mechanically inclined, and self-motivated.
The right person should be comfortable working independently and managing their daily responsibilities without needing someone standing over them.
You should be the type of person who notices that inventory is getting low, a machine needs attention, a pallet needs to be moved, or an area needs to be cleaned up — and takes care of it.
Experience with some or all of the following is preferred:
- Parts or inventory management
- Shipping and receiving
- UPS/FedEx shipping
- LTL freight preparation
- Palletizing and freight banding/strapping
- Forklift operation
- Telehandler operation
- Basic mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting
- Equipment, construction, agriculture, trucking, warehouse, or similar industries
Physical Requirements:
This is a hands-on position. Applicants must be comfortable:
- Working indoors and outdoors
- Working in changing weather conditions
- Standing and moving throughout the workday
- Lifting and handling parts and packages
- Operating material-handling equipment
- Safely securing and preparing heavy freight for shipment
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 per week
