Columbia Engineering is actively seeking a talented Civil Engineer. You will work with a team of engineers to perform work on various projects.
Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities
- Preparing construction plans for projects involving storm pipe, culverts, water and sewer lines, spillways, and more
- Grading, drainage calculations, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
- Creating roadway drainage plans
- Site layout, plan development, grading, details, and erosion control design for parks
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology
- Computer knowledge/experience with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)
- Autodesk Civil 3D
- ArcMap or other GIS software
- SWMM based models
- Microstation/Inroads/Openroads
- Working in a team environment to complete projects in budget and on schedule
- Knowledge of applicable health and safety and environmental requirements
- Can perform critical thinking tasks accurately and efficiently
- Balance multiple project workloads and deadlines (time management skills)
- Willingness to work collaboratively as a valued member of the team to serve our clients both internal and external
- Ability to work semi-autonomously/remotely and still be productive
