Behavioral Health Social Worker OR Senior Behavioral Health Social Worker

We are in search of a Behavioral Health Clinical Social Worker OR a Senior Behavioral Health Social Worker dedicated to serving the residents of our county struggling with a variety of mental health disorders. Positions are available for a licensed professional (LMSW or LCSW or LMHC) to join our team, and practice social work to help clients with social, emotional and related difficulties associated with their disabilities. Under the direction of the Clinical Director and Supervisors, this team member will assist prescribers, physicians and colleagues to maintain the highest level and quality of service to our clients.
Minimum Qualifications:
SR. BHSW- Graduation from a graduate school approved by the New York State Department of Education with a Master’s Degree in Social Work, and possession of certificate or license to practice social work (LCSW) or counseling (LMHC) issued by the New York State Department of Education or a NYS licensed Psychologist AND four or more years of post-Masters experience in the field of behavioral health.
BHSW-Graduation from a graduate school approved by the New York State Department of Education with a Master’s Degree in Social Work, and possession of certificate or license to practice social work (LMSW or LCSW) or counseling (LMHC) issued by the New York State Department of Education. Applicants possessing a NYS limited permit may apply and will have one (1) year to obtain a license to practice social work (LMSW or LCSW) or two (2) years to obtain a license for counseling (LMHC) issued by the New York State Department of Education.
For either position: Special Requirement-Continuing Education–Employees holding this title shall comply with provisions of mandatory continuing education requirements prescribed in Article 154 S7710 of NYS Education Law.

This job title is non-competitive through the New York State Civil Service HELP (Hiring Emergency Limited Placement) Program. The applicant must be a resident of New York State at the time of the exam, and four (4) months prior to the date of appointment. This is a full time position.
