Investor Development Manager
Mission of the Chamber
The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce is a member-driven, business-focused organization advocating economic growth in the Greater Augusta region.
Position Summary
We are seeking a results-driven Investor Development Manager to lead our membership recruitment efforts and cultivate high-value relationships with business leaders and stakeholders. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a passion for business development, community engagement, and economic impact. You’ll be responsible for identifying and onboarding new members—especially at the investor and leadership levels—and positioning the Chamber as an indispensable resource for business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to recruit new Chamber members, with a focus on investor-level engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with CEOs, business owners, and key decision-makers across industries
- Conduct outreach through targeted campaigns, networking events, and one-on-one meetings
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and member experience
- Represent the Chamber at community functions, ribbon cuttings, and business expos
- Maintain accurate records of member interactions and provide regular performance reports
- Support investor-level programming and engagement initiatives
Ideal Candidate
- Proven success in sales, business development, or investor relations
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strategic mindset with the ability to identify and pursue growth opportunities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field preferred
- Willingness to work flexible hours and including occasional evenings
