Columbia College (www.ccdc.edu) is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Dental Program Instructor with expertise in digital dentistry and CAD/CAM technology. The instructor will be responsible for teaching and supporting students in both traditional and digital dental techniques, including computer-aided design (CAD) and manufacturing (CAM) applications.

[SCHEDULE]
- Class Hours: Two weekdays (about 8 - 16 hours per week)
- Office Hours: Vary
[RESPONSIBILITY]
- Teach assigned courses within the Dental Program, including topics such as dental anatomy, restorative procedures, materials, and CAD/CAM applications.
- Provide instruction and demonstrations using industry-standard CAD/CAM software (e.g., exocad, 3Shape, CEREC, or similar systems).
- Supervise and mentor students in lab and clinical settings to ensure skill competency and professional development.
- Assist in developing and maintaining instructional materials, lesson plans, and assessments that align with program objectives and accreditation standards.
- Stay current with developments in digital dentistry and integrate emerging technologies into instruction.
- Participate in curriculum development, program meetings, and faculty training sessions.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom and laboratory environment.
[QUALIFICATION]
Required:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Technology, Dental Hygiene, Dentistry, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in dental technology, digital dentistry, or CAD/CAM applications.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM systems used in dental design and fabrication.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teaching skills.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Certified Dental Technician (CDT) or equivalent credential.
- Prior teaching or training experience in a college or professional setting.
- Familiarity with accreditation standards for dental programs.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in a related field, preferred.
- Three (3) years or more Dental Technician experience.
- One (1) year or more teaching experience preferred, but not required.
