KidSpace Shift Coordinator - Columbia Gym

Columbia Gym’s KidSpace is looking for a part-time Shift Coordinator who is enthusiastic, outgoing and enjoys working with children and families.

Must fit the following criteria:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have successfully completed six semester hours of approved training in education, recreation, child development, or related field — OR 90 clock hours of approved childcare training.
• Must have or be able to obtain current certification in First Aid and Community CPR
• Must work a variety of mornings, night and weekend shifts approximately 12-18 hours a week

The KidSpace Shift Coordinator will be working with children ages 6 weeks to 13 years as an interim care provider while parents use the fitness club. The position will also work as a party attendant. We host a variety of high-energy parties for kids of all ages!

Applicants must also be able to communicate positively and effectively with children and their parents and enthusiastically lead games. Enthusiasm and a happy demeanor are key for this position. The position requires being friendly and having a customer service-focused attitude, and also meeting physical demands such as sitting on the floor, standing for a long period of time, kneeling and being able to lift 50 pounds.
The pay rate for this position is $16.75/per hour. CA offers a positive, fun work environment and a generous benefits package.
