Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring presentation meets quality standards
- Process sales transactions accurately, handling cash and credit card payments with proficiency in POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including food handling and beverage stations
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations
Skills
- Extensive experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Strong knowledge of cocktail mixing, spirits, wine, and beverage service techniques
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service in fast-paced environments
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy shifts
- Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation protocols within the food industry
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining guest satisfaction
- Previous restaurant or food service experience, including fine dining environments preferred
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing tabs effectively
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and hospitality best practices
- Experience with reservation systems like OpenTable is a plus
- Strong communication skills to engage guests positively and work collaboratively with team members
