Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing attentive and friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring prompt delivery
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards
- Manage guest inquiries, resolve concerns promptly, and foster positive guest relations to promote repeat business
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems, process payments, and give correct change while maintaining accountability
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or nightclub settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude and the ability to engage guests effectively
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Culinary experience or familiarity with food preparation and food safety standards is highly desirable
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables and responsibilities simultaneously
- Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and order calculations; proficiency in food industry standards is preferred
- Knowledge of sanitation practices, proper food handling procedures, and overall restaurant safety protocols
- Previous experience in hospitality roles such as host/host or server is advantageous
