ESCO Plastics, part of Colson Group, is investing in a new automated polyurethane manufacturing line at its Magnolia, Texas facility. This strategic expansion will introduce advanced manufacturing technologies, automation, and modern production processes to support future business growth. Team members joining this project will have the unique opportunity to help build a new operation from the ground up, work with state-of-the-art equipment, develop new skills, and contribute to one of the company's most important growth initiatives.

The Bonding Process Operator is responsible for applying polyurethane-to-metal bonding agents, controlling adhesive process conditions, supporting core pre-heating activities, and documenting critical bonding parameters prior to polyurethane casting. This is an onsite, first shift position with a schedule of Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-3:30PM with overtime as required. Pay for this role is $17.00 per hour. In order to be compliant with OSHA standards, this position requires use of a respirator, and employees in the role will need to undergo respirator training as well as maintain a clean-shaven appearance.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Apply approved bonding agents according to work instructions and specifications.
  • Inspect adhesive coverage, uniformity, masking, drying requirements, and process readiness.
  • Monitor and document humidity, adhesive condition, core temperature, and process controls.
  • Protect non-bonded areas using masking materials and fixtures.
  • Coordinate with Core Preparation Operators to verify surface readiness.
  • Support core pre-heating and staging activities.
  • Handle adhesives, solvents, and related materials in compliance with safety requirements.
  • Maintain bonding equipment, tools, and workstations.
  • Record process information and escalate concerns or deviations.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES

· Minimum one year of manufacturing experience required.

· Adhesive, coating, bonding, surface treatment, or industrial painting experience preferred.

· Ability to read drawings, bond prints, work instructions, and specifications.

· Strong attention to detail and process discipline.

· Basic math and documentation skills.

· Ability to work safely with chemicals under strict PPE requirements.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Additional technical training preferred.
