Reports To: Lead Quality Technician or Designee Location: Three Oaks
Job Summary:
The Quality Inspector is responsible for making sure products meet the Colson Group quality standard, and promote a quality culture throughout the facility. Examine shipments of inventory and raw goods, measure specifications of samples in each production run and train team members to refine production quality. Direct and support plant quality function efforts in development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives that will reduce the cost of quality and meet/exceed customer requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Supports implementation of Colson Group quality procedures at the DC operation · Document inspection, certification and other applicable data to drive continuous improvement activities and processes · Support DC Operations systemic continuous improvement initiatives as necessary
Skills/Requirements
· Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, APQP, PPAP and 8D Processes
· Use gauges such as calipers and micrometers to measure products · Must be good with numbers and able to work with several part numbers simultaneously · Review blueprints and specifications to compare to produced goods · Willingness to learn additional quality skills through educational opportunities
Experience: · One to three years experience in Quality operations · Familiar with warehouse, manufacturing, distribution center, setting
Education:
· Quality certification strongly desired |
