What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Accuracy Specialist, Distribution Center position at Colson Group Holdings LLC?
Inventory Accuracy Specialist, Distribution Center
Location: Palmetto, GA
Reports To: DC Supervisor or Designee
A day in this role
When you start your shift, you’ll review the daily cycle count plan and open your E10 system queue. You’ll head to the floor to verify counts for raw materials, packaging, finished goods, and any non-conforming items. If something looks off, you’ll dig into current and past activity in E10, physically verify locations, and even open cartons or bundles to weigh and label product so on-hand quantities are precise.
As you move through locations, you’ll hunt down misclassified or misplaced inventory and correct records. You’ll capture overages, shortages, and any product damage, notifying your Supervisor promptly and logging details for weekly, monthly, and quarterly inventory metrics. Throughout the day, you’ll field questions about product availability and inventory status, and you’ll note process gaps—recommending improvements that prevent future discrepancies.
Before you wrap up, you’ll publish the day’s findings, submit any required inventory control reports, and align with your Supervisor on corrective actions. You’ll close out your counts in E10 and prepare the next area of focus for tomorrow.
