What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chemistry Section Chief position at Colquitt Regional Medical Center?
Colquitt Regional Health System is currently hiring a Chemisty Section Chief. The Section Chief will be responsible for general operations within specific sections in the laboratory to best provide information for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease by conducting medical laboratory tests, procedures, and analyses. Creates and maintains policies and procedures as related to the section they are assigned, complying with standards set by certifying agencies over the laboratory (CAP, AABB, State of Georgia, CLIA).
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related science.
Completion of medical technology program from an accredited school.
5 years’ experience as a Medical Technologist (in hospital lab preferred).
MT certification from accredited agency (ASCP, AMT, AAB)
