Federal Sales Executive, Civilian Agencies

Colortokens is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Federal Sales Executive to drive revenue and market share within key U.S. Federal Civilian Agencies . The ideal candidate has a proven track record of selling enterprise software, particularly in the areas of Zero Trust , microsegmentation , or network security , and possesses deep relationships within the Federal Civilian ecosystem.

Location: Washington DC area

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and exceed assigned revenue targets within the Federal Civilian sector (e.g., DHS, VA, HHS, NASA, GSA, Treasury).
  • Account Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and influencers within target Civilian agencies.
  • Pipeline Generation: Proactively identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities for Colortokens' microsegmentation platform. This includes leveraging existing government contract vehicles and strategic partnerships.
  • Solution Selling: Articulate the value proposition of Colortokens' Zero Trust architecture and microsegmentation capabilities, mapping them directly to the compliance, security, and operational challenges faced by Civilian agencies (e.g., FISMA , NIST 800-53 , and Zero Trust Executive Order mandates).
  • Forecasting & Reporting: Maintain an accurate and robust sales pipeline and provide timely, accurate forecasts using CRM tools.
  • Partnership Collaboration: Work closely with Federal System Integrators (SIs), Channel Partners, and Distributors to drive joint sales initiatives and broaden market reach.
  • Cross-Functional Teamwork: Collaborate with internal teams, including Federal Sales Engineering, Professional Services, Product Management, and Marketing, to ensure customer success and high-quality solution delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of direct, quota-carrying B2G enterprise software sales experience, focused specifically on the U.S. Federal Civilian Government market.
  • Domain Knowledge:
    • Demonstrated expertise and success selling security, networking, or infrastructure software solutions.
    • Strong understanding of Zero Trust principles and experience selling related technologies like microsegmentation , identity access management (IAM), or software-defined networking (SDN).
    • Familiarity with the Federal acquisition process, budget cycles, and key IT modernization initiatives within Civilian agencies.
  • Relationships: Established, verifiable relationships and a strong contact network within major Federal Civilian agencies.
  • Communication: Exceptional presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Travel: Ability to travel as needed to customer sites, industry events, and internal meetings (estimated 25-40% ).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience selling microsegmentation or application dependency mapping solutions.
  • Experience utilizing FedRAMP or other government security certifications in the sales process.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other major CRM platforms.
