The Role: Defining Our Federal Market Leadership
Colortokens Federal is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Federal Marketing Director to drive strategic marketing initiatives and generate demand within the U.S. Federal Government sector (Civilian, DoD, and Intelligence). This role is responsible for developing, executing, and measuring integrated marketing campaigns that resonate with Federal agency stakeholders, increase brand awareness, and directly support the Federal Sales team's revenue targets. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of successfully marketing enterprise software or cybersecurity solutions to government entities. What You'll Do
- Federal Strategy: Define and own the Federal marketing strategy, including buyer personas, market sizing, competitive positioning, and thought leadership topics relevant to agencies.
- Content Development: Create high-impact Federal-specific content, including solution briefs, white papers, case studies (where permissible), presentations, web copy, and campaign messaging focused on Zero Trust, CMMC, TIC 3.0, and other relevant security initiatives.
- Sales Enablement: Arm the Federal Sales and Partner teams with the necessary tools, training, and battlecards to articulate ColorTokens’ value proposition against competitors and address specific agency requirements.
- Demand Generation/Pipeline Acceleration: Partner with the Corporate Marketing and Demand Generation teams to plan and execute Federal-specific campaigns, webinars, and events (e.g., trade shows, conferences) that drive pipeline.
- Product Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert on ColorTokens products for the Federal market, ensuring all product launches and updates include a strong, tailored Federal value story.
- Analyst/Consultant Relations: Engage with key Federal industry analysts and government consultants to influence their perception and inclusion of ColorTokens in relevant reports.
- Ecosystem Marketing: Design campaigns with ecosystem partners to grow our opportunities across Federal programs.
What You Bring
- Federal Market Expertise: Deep, demonstrated experience (7 years preferred) in marketing enterprise software or cybersecurity solutions specifically to the US Federal Government (DoD and Civilian).
- Data Driven Approach: Set and track marketing campaign ROI and translate data into actionable insights for accelerating pipeline, account penetration and improving lead and opportunity conversion rates
- Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, particularly Zero Trust architecture, microsegmentation , and relevant Federal security mandates (e.g., FedRAMP, CMMC, RMF).
- Marketing Leadership: Proven track record of developing and executing successful, data-driven go-to-market strategies for the Federal sector.
- Communication Mastery: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical features into clear, compelling, and compliant business benefits.
- Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across sales, product, and corporate marketing teams.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
