Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team . The ideal candidate will have experience in residential, commercial, and industrial painting projects, with a strong understanding of various painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing processes. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, including remodeling, restoration, and new construction sites. Candidates should possess a solid background in painting -related skills and be committed to delivering high-quality results in a safe and efficient manner.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer to ensure proper adhesion of paint or coatings
- Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, airless sprayers, or power tools
- Perform surface repairs such as plastering, caulking, and patching to ensure smooth finishes
- Read blueprints and schematics to accurately determine project scope and specifications are a plus
- Install fixtures, trim carpentry, molding, and other decorative elements as needed
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely
- Conduct surface inspections to ensure quality standards are met before project start and completion
- Assist or having knowledge of dry wall, muding and texturing
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols on construction sites
Experience
- Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting environments
- Knowledge of blueprint reading is a plus
- Familiarity with color theory and surface preparation techniques such as plastering and stucco application
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, airless paint spraying equipment, dry wall tools and finishing, some carpentry skills is a plus
- Background working on construction sites with experience in renovation or restoration projects
- Prior maintenance person experience is a plus for versatile project involvement
- Must have valid drivers license
- Willing to work at times long hours and weekends
- Opening to traveling and early start time
