About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join our team at Colorado Visiting Nurse Association. As a Home Health Speech Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and rehabilitation services.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with speech disorders, linguistic disorders, communication disorders, developmental delay, voice disorders, oral-motor functioning, auditory and visual perception, and cognition. You will also advise and consult with families, physicians, and other agency personnel, including discharge planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to determine level of function, including OASIS assessments at appropriate time points.
- Assess and treat speech disorders, linguistic disorders, communication disorders, developmental delay, voice disorders, oral-motor functioning, auditory and visual perception, and cognition.
- Provide procedures such as receptive and expressive language, aural rehabilitation, oral motor function training, feeding therapy, speech/language stimulation, and teaching of articulation, respiration, and swallowing.
- Advises and consults with the family, physician and other agency personnel, including discharge planning.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.
- One year of experience in speech and language pathology.
- An active Colorado ST license. Current CPR certification based on individual affiliate requirements. Valid Colorado driver's license and proof of automobile insurance in accordance with state statute.
