Elite Assistant Coaches play an integral role in delivering a consistent, high-performance training environment that supports the development of every player within the Colorado Storm Elite pathway. Working alongside the Head Coach and Technical Staff, Assistant Coaches help implement the club's game model, reinforce player development objectives, and contribute to an environment where players can thrive both on and off the field.
Whether working with an Elite Academy (U11-U12) or Elite ECNL (U13-U19) team, Assistant Coaches are expected to model professionalism, collaborate effectively with staff, and help create a positive, challenging, and enjoyable experience for players and families.

JOB FUNCTIONS:
The Elite Assistant Coach supports all aspects of player and team development throughout the seasonal year. Responsibilities include assisting with training sessions, match-day coaching, player evaluations, communication, and tournament participation while maintaining alignment with the Colorado Storm methodology.
Excellent Communicator
- Build positive relationships with players while providing age-appropriate instruction and feedback.
- Maintain professional communication with players, parents, fellow coaches, and club staff.
- Support the Head Coach with team administration and communication as needed.
- Collaborate regularly with the Head Coach and Technical Director regarding player development and team objectives.
- Represent Colorado Storm in a professional manner at all trainings, matches, tournaments, and club events.
A Proponent of the Colorado Storm Player Pathway
- Support implementation of the Colorado Storm Player Development Philosophy and Game Model.
- Assist in planning and delivering engaging, player-centered training sessions.
- Reinforce technical, tactical, physical, and psychosocial development appropriate for each age group.
- Encourage creativity, decision-making, and ownership among players.
- Help evaluate player performance and contribute to player feedback throughout the season.
- Foster an environment that prioritizes long-term player development while maintaining a competitive training culture.
Collaborative Team Member
- Work closely with the Head Coach to ensure consistency in coaching standards and session delivery.
- Assist with game-day preparation, substitutions, warm-ups, halftime discussions, and post-game evaluations.
- Help manage equipment and maintain an organized training environment.
- Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling, field changes, and other operational needs.
- Support club events, identification sessions, and additional programming as assigned.

- Pursue continued coaching education and professional development.
- Be receptive to feedback from Technical Directors and fellow staff members.
- Demonstrate initiative, reliability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

EXPERIENCE / DESIRED TRAITS:
- Minimum U.S. Soccer "C" License (or equivalent international license).
- Previous experience coaching competitive youth soccer preferred.
- Passion for long-term player development and creating positive learning environments.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a coaching staff.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with video analysis platforms and player evaluation tools is preferred.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends throughout the seasonal year.
CONTRACT / EXPECTATIONS:
- Part-time, 12-month coaching position.
- Expected availability for a minimum of two (2) training sessions per week.
- Attend the majority of scheduled league matches throughout the season.
- Availability for club tournaments, showcases, and occasional travel is expected.
- Primary training location is the Colorado Storm Elite Performance Center at Regis University, with occasional training or match responsibilities at alternate club facilities throughout the Denver metro area.
- Participate in required club meetings, coaching education, and technical development opportunities.
- Compensation ranges from $6,000-$10,000 annually, based on the number of teams assigned, coaching experience, licensing, and additional club responsibilities.
- Performance evaluations will consider professionalism, player development, collaboration with staff, reliability, and adherence to Colorado Storm's coaching philosophy.
Salary : $6,000 - $10,000
