Position Summary
This position will assist the Manager and Asst. Manager in carrying out seed potato inspections for the Potato Certification Service (PCS) as outlined in the Colorado Certified Seed Rules and Regulations and Colorado State University as directed by the Board of Governors of the CSU System to inspect and certify seed potato growers

Essential Job Duties
- Conducting field and storage inspections
- Informational services to seed potato growers
- Assist training for additional crop inspectors and Rogueing Crews
- Assist Manager to maintain effective communication between all segments of the potato industry.
Conditions of Employment

- Must obtain valid drivers license by employment start date
- Must be authorized to work in the US by employment start date
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in plant disease identification, field inspection of certified seed potatoes, and irrigated potato/field crop production is desirable.
- Appropriate experience may be substituted for academic training in some cases.
- Experience working with computer applications (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access).
- Ability to work in environmental conditions, including exposure to weather and noise.
Preferred Qualifications
- Evidence of attention to detail and ability to develop and maintain high quality records and other documentation is desirable.
- interest and ability to work, collaborate, and communicate in a team environment with individuals of diverse, socio-economic backgrounds.
Salary Range
